DFIs can demonstrate their commitment to climate action by monitoring and reporting on the climate impact of their investments. The forum will discuss improving monitoring and reporting frameworks to ensure DFIs are accountable for their climate impact.

    Emerging Technologies

Several technologies are emerging in financing climate-smart projects. These technologies aim to improve climate finance’s efficiency, transparency, and accountability and support the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy.

These technologies can transform how climate finance is managed and delivered and support the transition to a more sustainable and resilient economy. However, there are also challenges and risks associated with these technologies, such as data privacy concerns, cybersecurity risks, and the potential for unintended consequences. As such, it is essential to carefully evaluate and manage these risks as these technologies are adopted to finance climate-smart projects
